My Shepherd
Adonai is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His Name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me:
Your rod and Your staff comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You have anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of Adonai forever. Psalm 23 (TLV)
“For who is (my)God, except Adonai?
And who is a Rock, except our God?
God girds me with strength
and makes my way straight. Psalm 18:32-33

When David wrote this Psalm it is unlikely he knew he describes exact words of Jesus on the cross. He was unaware he details actions of Jesus’ opposition.

Remember Jesus and a cloud of witnesses stand and fight with us.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?
Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me. Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me. Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment. But you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me. Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs. Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!
