Are you thinking am I forgotten? Understand this: others may fail to thank you, but your heavenly Father appreciates all that you do and all that you are. Your work may go uncelebrated, but it will not go unrewarded. God has put you exactly where He needs you. You are fulfilling His purpose every day. Once you accept that, you’ll find joy and meaning in what you’re doing. God is the reason, others are just the beneficiaries! Don’t let someone else’s response decide your level of joy. God observes every day and every detail of your life. ‘God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for others.

 “ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:15-17

Derby Weekend: The Big Horse

After spending nearly 30+ years on many racetracks large and small. Working on breeding farms and training centers. I have looked back and found that I have lived my entire life in the shadow of ‘ The Big Horse”

In racetrack lingo, The Big horse is the ultimate of everything. If money is borrowed, it’ll be paid back when the Big Horse comes in. If things aren’t right, If things aren’t right, they will get better when The Big Horse comes in. If I don’t have a big horse in my stable, I’m always running at your Big Horse. Everyone is looking for The Big Horse to satisfy all their needs. I’ve had some friends who Big horses in their stables. All their hopes and dreams were centered around when the Big Hoses came in. It appeared that time after time. The Big Horse came in but somehow, he just wasn’t big enough to go around.

Since I have been off the track, out in the world I’ve noticed that folks out here are also looking for The Big Horse. Although they don’t call it The Big Horse, they are waiting for him to come in just the same. Individuals, communities, churches, and even whole countries are waiting on The Big Horse to come in.

As individuals, we are waiting for that one thing to happen that will get us over the hump. As communities, we are waiting for that something to happen that will unite us. As churches we are waiting for the next revival, for evangelist to pull the magic out of his hat that will be the answer to all our troubles. As a country, we are waiting on The Big Horse to come in the shape of a political candidate, or the big tax reform. Friends, we are all just waiting for The Big Horse to come in!

Dear reader, The Big Horse is in! His name is JESUS CHRIST! Every need as individuals, communities, churches or countries is met through him. Jesus Christ is the answer for all the world today! His past performance charts are written down in the Bible. (God’s condition Book for us.) His present charts, even His future charts. Every record of this Big Horse is down for us to read and study, if we just will.

Don’t get trapped by the devil waiting your life away on the Big Horse of the world to come in, cause he ain’t and the finish isn’t even close. The race has been won, and Jesus is waiting for you in the Winners Circle. Won’t you join Him there and accept what He has already done for you?? Today is the day of salvation.

If you would like to hook up with the Big Horse Jesus, just get quiet for minute, ease over somewhere by yourself, and bow your head and pray the simple prayer. Heavenly Father, I am a sinner, an “also ran” I’d like to be a winner, I accept Jesus now as my personal Savior and make Him Lord of my life. Father forgive me of my past performances, my bad race charts. I thank you for removing them from your remembrances as far as the East is from the West. Thank you for giving me a stall in heaven, and letting me start over with a clean training chart. Thank you for making me more than a winner. Thank you for giving me a stall in heaven, and letting me start over with a clean training chart. Thank you for making me more than a winner. I praise you in the name of my Big Horse, Jesus Christ !! Amen

Morning Line: Right Heart — Right Direction—Right Choice!

“Above all…guard your heart…it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23

Heart disease will kill you if you don’t detect it and treat it in time. This is true physically and spiritually. God’s word says, “Above all…guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”  What kind of thoughts are you entertaining? Are you constantly comparing and resenting? Do you get easily upset? When you hear gossip do you silence it or spread it? What are you watching and feeding your heart and mind?

Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8

In other words, when you start to see things God’s way you’ll act accordingly making your direction and pathway will become clearer  and clearer.

The Psalmist realized this so he prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” Psalm 51:10

If you want God to prosper you spiritually and physically with peace of mind, heart spirit and soul, get your heart right diligently guard your gates, what you watch, what you hear, and what you are saying and confessing than your path will become firm.

Morning Line: Land Mines and Mind Land Mines

Every day you and I face a field filled with spiritual, physical, mental land minds. Along with great opportunities to lead a strong spirit filled God filled life leading to many truly satisfying and fulfilling things for God, ourselves and others, blessed to be a blessing, accomplishing and completing the blueprint God placed in us before time.

The enemy of our soul (satan) has placed many land mines in our pathway for us to step on physically and spiritually. That can completely cripple us or even take our life. The truth is we are always a few choices away from success or failure, life or death.

We move toward what we dwell on and feed on and how we react to different things that cross our eyes mind and spirit daily, they become stepping stone or land mines.

Scripture says to guard you heart and mind your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between right and wrong it just moves toward what we feed it.

It’s only by the grace and mercy intervening in some of our choices we haven’t stepped on many land minds satan has set for us. (Excerpts from : “Good Grief” page 127, Pastor Lee Armstrong)

Unity through Humility

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.  Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Morning Line: Open Eyes!

Jesus most often miracle was opening blind eyes. Without vision we stumble through life not receiving what in God’s strength we can accomplish. As you seek Him he will open your spirit to the knowledge of His word and life He has designed just for you.

  Pray, “ Deal bountifully with your servant, so that I may live and observe your word. Open my eyes, so that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.” Psalm 119:17-18 (NRSVCE)

Check for these 3 road blocks:

Unforgiving offense

Unwise relationships

Uncommitted heart.

Having a committed heart and mind is what sets you apart from the crowd and before doors of opportunity. As you commit to God, His Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit the blocks to your destiny will melt away; leading to your right path.

 Father God is saying to you, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,  nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 (NRSVCE)

Morning Line: You’re Covered!

It’s hard to understand the suffering around us these days; However have peace in the knowledge the suffering of today will fade as you stand on “The Promise of God’s “supply as you seek him you will find the plan He has for you.

Don’t stop to argue with people on the sideline that will throw you off stride.

”I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18

God has a great plan and purpose for you with the Holy Spirit as guide, people of like mind in one accord to have a full and awesome life. Let God’s Spirit flow through you in signs and wonders touching your world with Jesus Christ’s grace and mercy, setting the captives free from sin, sickness, and more.

 “ I will repay you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent against you.  You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God…” Joel 2:25-26

Christ Jesus is saying to you, “Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Through Christ Jesus

 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,  receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;  but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

 And if you call on the Father…conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,  having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because

“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1(NKJ)
