Overcoming the World

Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. This is He who came through water and blood [His baptism and death], Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. It is the [Holy] Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. [He is the essence and origin of truth itself.]  For there are three witnesses: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three are in agreement [their testimony is perfectly consistent]. If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [that is, if we are willing to take the sworn statements of fallible humans as evidence], the testimony of God is greater [far more authoritative]; for this is the testimony of God, that He has testified regarding His Son. The one who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies confidently on Him as Savior] has the testimony within himself [because he can speak authoritatively about Christ from his own personal experience]. The one who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him [out to be] a liar, because he has not believed in the evidence that God has given regarding His Son. And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it], and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness, and eternal companionship with Him]. He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life. This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [settled with absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:1-15 (AMP)

The Call

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:1-4, 12-17 (NKJ)

Let God’s grace work in you, so that Christ Jesus’ love may glow in your life today, shining on everyone you meet!

Morning Line: Stressed Decompress

Exhaustion is a by-product of overcommitted schedules and endless responsibilities, cramming in more through multitasking, leaving one emotionally and physically fatigued.

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Isaiah 40:28-29 (NRSVCE)

^“Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace— in peace because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God  you have an everlasting rock…”Isaiah 26:3-4 (NRSVCE)

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me, and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

Do Not Judge Another

Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.  Some believe in eating anything, while the weak eat only vegetables. Those who eat must not despise those who abstain, and those who abstain must not pass judgment on those who eat; for God has welcomed them. Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds. Those who observe the day, observe it in honor of the Lord. Also those who eat, eat in honor of the Lord, since they give thanks to God; while those who abstain, abstain in honor of the Lord and give thanks to God.

We do not live to ourselves, and we do not die to ourselves. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, so that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Why do you pass judgment on your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written,

“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.”

So then, each of us will be accountable to God. Romans 14:1-12

Morning Line: Your Trifecta!

In and through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you have Jehovah God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit on your side, loving you, ready to teach and guide you as you surrender to them.

”Come… all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest…” Matthew 11:28

Through faith in Christ Jesus, we are grafted back into the family of God as full joint heirs, with full access to “ALL” of the family’s benefits and promises.

”For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:8-9

We have it by faith: by receiving Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, we receive salvation, forgiveness for sin, a new spirit, healing, deliverance, prosperity, joy, peace, love, and much more. That’s a great benefits package, and through Christ Jesus, it’s “ALL” covered.

As you accept it all, the doors and windows of heaven are open to you. So you can come to Father God as a young child comes boldly to their earthly father and mother. Come with the full expectation of enjoying His presence in your life.

It’s God’s will for you to live in good health and well-being!

Daily pour God’s Word into your heart to overflowing, and when you need its power, it will pour back out of you in power and might to take care of the day before you.

Power Strength Unity

For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ], I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ], from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father].

May He grant you, out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].

Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3: 14-21

Daily pour God’s Word into your heart to overflow, and when you need it, its power will pour back out of you in power and wisdom to take care of the day before you.

Morning Line: Right Time!

If our expectations come from any source other than God, it sets one up for disappointment.

Ecclesiastes 3:1” There’s an opportune time to do all things, a right time for everything on the earth”

There’s a Right Time for Everything. Sometimes it’s hard to say no, but not every problem or opportunity is a call to jump in.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Proverbs 3:6” In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”

Sometimes we need to give people and ourselves time with the Father, Son, and Spirit to muck out their own stall and time to muck out our own stall. So we can be open and ready for our assignment.

Be still and have a heart filled with the expectation of peace in heart, mind, and spirit; God’s never early, and His plan and timing are perfect for you as you submit to Him and ride it out.

Psalm 62:5” My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him”

Wait patiently to obtain the promise

Hebrews 6:15”… after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise”

God has an awesome plan; ask him for ears to hear, eyes to see, and a light on your path.

Have faith: God’s word does not change, but we have the choice to follow it even when it goes against our flesh and self-will.

However, when we do follow God’s Word, it leads to His best and a testimony of His grace and Love.

Get up, suit up in the Amor of God; your next assignment is about to unfold before you.  Be ready and willing to go.

Daily pour God’s Word into your heart to overflow, and when you need it, His power will pour back out of you with power and might to take care of the day before you.

Let Jehovah God weave your thoughts, the Holy Spirit touching your spirit, guiding you to a fully fulfilled Life!
