Morning Line: Wondrous LOVE !

“…My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46 NKJV

Imagine having to stand on a stage and watch every sin you’ve ever committed replayed for the entire world to see – your secret addictions, your selfish motives, your angry outbursts, your critical attitudes, and your jealous heart. How would you feel? Well, Jesus experienced much worse. The Bible says:

“He…bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness  by whose stripes you were healed”(1Peter 2:24 NKJV).

It’s bad enough to die for sins you didn’t commit, but imagine being forsaken by God!  Does that mean the Psalmist was wrong when he wrote:

“…I have never seen the righteous forsaken…” (Psalms 37:25 NIV)

No, because at that moment Jesus was anything but righteous. When you look at Him hanging there you will see the gossiper, the liar, the cheater, the alcoholic, the porn addict, the child abuser, the murderer. Does it bother you to see His name linked with theirs? Jesus did even more. He put Himself in their mind and your mind. In a move that broke God’s heart and gave us the gift of eternal life, He poured out His righteous judgment on His only Son. So when Jesus cried from the cross,

‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?’

He said it so that you would never have to. What wondrous love He gave to all, to you so that you and I are redeemed.  If you haven’t accepted Him as Lord, do it now, if you have rejoice and be glad it. My Rock and My Salvation

My soul, wait in stillness, only for God—from Him comes my salvation.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress—I will never be moved.

How long will all of you assault a man, to crush him, like a leaning wall,
a fence to be torn down?
They only plot to topple him from his rank.
Delighting in falsehood, they bless with their mouth,
but inwardly they curse. Selah

My soul, wait in stillness, only for God—for from Him comes my expectation.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my strong tower—I will not be moved.
On God, my salvation and my glory is the rock of my strength.

My refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people.
Pour out your heart in His presence.
God is our refuge. Selah Psalm 62:2-9 (TLV)

He alone is my rock and my salvation my fortress—I will never be moved.

Luke 1:37  “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NRSVCE) “ For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Deuteronomy 28:12-14 (NRSVCE) “  The Lord will open for you his rich storehouse, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all your undertakings…

The Gardner

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and is dried up. Such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned.

“If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.”

“Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be full.

“This is My commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.

“I am no longer calling you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing. Now I have called you friends, because everything I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I selected you so that you would go and produce fruit, and your fruit would remain. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name.

“These things I command you, so that you may love one another.” John 15:1-17 (TLV)

Morning Line: Hope Excites!

Hope excites the heart with rejoicing. Think of a time of anticipation of good. There was joy and hope of things to come. It is impossible to have true hope without a degree of joy. Morning Line:  Prepare to Launch

In the natural our possibility is limited, but in Jesus Christ letting His spirit guide and teach you the possibilities are limitless. Partner with Jesus and you can do more. Experiencing great faith with Jesus telling you where to cast your net beyond your  perceived ability and be amazed by what  you can do as you surrender your life  fully to Christ Jesus. Don’t be afraid to step into the water with Jesus. Don’t stay on the shore, catching a minnow; launch out, catch a whale it’s your choice

Jesus Christ said in Luke 5:4-6 (NRSVCE)  When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”  Simon answered, “Master, we have worked all night long but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so, I will let down the nets.”  When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets were beginning to break.”

Jesus has a full net of everything you need, but it’s in deep water not ankle deep water.

Launch you boat of trust and faith in Him and prepare for what is about to happen,

“You can do all things through him who strengthens you…”  Philippians 4:13 (NRSVCE)

Battle Ready

Be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. So stand firm and hold your ground,

having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. Above all, lift up the [protective] ^[c]shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18 (AMP)
