Thought to Ponder: Fear Not!
Isaiah 41:10 (NRSVCE) “ do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” Romans 8:15 (NRSVCE) “For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba![a] Father!”
Our Lord says ‘fear not He is with us”, most evangelical Christians no longer doubt the reality of Christ sacrificial death and resurrection, for the evidence has become overwhelming, and the truths have become the glory and power of the gospel. Nevertheless, there is fearful reluctance to take God’s “word” literally, causing a great problem in the success of the power and authority given us by Jesus Christ, when a stand might become costly. Sadly many accept non-literal ways of interpreting scripture to fit their own will and preference. Which waters down or completely wipes out and the power to have victory, peace and comfort and joy and confidence the power of God is at work in our life and behalf. We need to hold fast, just as Jesus Christ told of His death and resurrection, God always means exactly what He says in his “Word”
Fear not take a stand, God is with you!!!
