Morning Line: You have Wings

Friend yes you have eagle wings in you!

”those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:31(NRSVCE)

Our waiting on God will depend greatly on our faith in what He is. In our text, God reveals Himself as the everlasting and almighty one.

Listen to the words: “Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither grows weary?” (Isa 40: 27, 28) He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength.

All that is deemed strong with man shall come to nothing. “But they that wait upon the LORD” on the Everlasting One, who does not faint, and is not weary, they “shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run” Listen: They shall be strong with the strength of God.

Eagle wings are obtained in one way by eagle birth, as you are born of God; you have the eagle’s wings. You may not have known it; you may not have used them; but God can and will teach you how to use them.

I pray you lift your eyes, and behold your God! Listening to Him who says that He” fainted not, neither grows weary” whose promise is that you will not faint or be weary” our God who asks nothing but one thing, that you wait on Him and know He is always with you.
