Morning Line: Good and Bad Days

Morning Line: Good and Bad Days

God loves and accepts you as much on your bad days as He does on your good ones. In a performance-based society, that’s easy to forget.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)

God’s acceptance is based on your standing in Jesus Christ, not the state of your life at any given time. Think of the cross as a trading post. There God took every sin you’d ever committed past, present, and future laying it upon His son Jesus Christ. And the moment you place your trust in Jesus Christ, God took all of Christ’s righteousness and wrapped you up in it. From that point on, He sees you only one way, In Jesus Christ. You will realize that your worth isn’t based on what you do but on who you are in relationship to Jesus Christ. God actually assigned great value to you by allowing Jesus Christ, His only Son, to die for you. As your relationship grows with Him, you will find your Good days are more and your Bad days farther apart.

”So find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your insight or understanding.
In all your ways, know, acknowledge, and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. Proverbs 3:4-6 (AMP)
