Timing

Timing

Often we find ourselves in a place between all the things God has already done for us and what He hasn’t done yet…but we know delay is not denial… when the answer takes longer than we thought maybe He’s doing an attitude check…seeing how much we really trust Him…He’s probably got something bigger and better for us…His ways are always higher than ours…we tend to try to rush God…but it’s His timetable not ours…He’s heard our prayers…we can rest assured the answer is on the way!!! Everything Has Its Time

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:  a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Are you Hearing?

Are you Hearing?

Dominika Weston, MFIN

What is the difference between a skillful and a poor listeners? Do you know what to look for in order to be able to define one in each category? The art of communication requires patience and practice in order to  master it. We do not only exchange information when we write or speak, but also when we listen, use our body language or read. Our actions point to who we are.  You are a POOR LISTENER when you:  1. tap your foot while someone else is talking 2. try to finish someone’s sentence and make assumptions rather than listening actively 3. interrupt to disagree without letting other person finish or when you rush into correcting the other person’s statement 4. react emotionally to exchanged information 5. ignore non-verbal communication (body language) 6. focus on mannerism 7. talk more than actually listen A GOOD LISTENER: 1. makes eye contact with the speaker and nods sporadically 2. paraphrases and summarizes speaker’s words to ensure understanding 3. lets the speaker finish before stating his ground in a very calm and professional way 4. focuses on content of the message 5. remains open minded and refrains from judgement 6. pays attention to non-verbal communication 7. listens with intention to understand

One Question can change your World

One Question can change your World
Monday’s thought:   Whether it’s on a personal level or business asking one simple question each day can lead to a powerful and successful future.  What can I learn today?  One new growth of knowledge can lead to many new beginnings.  All we need to do is ask ourselves that one question.  What can I learn today?   Cheers to embracing our education and knowledge! by:Michael Zeidenberg🇨🇦

Brain

Brain

By Talal Al Mura

I Know how a smart brain looks like compared to a normal brain? I have illustrated the difference between a Student to a Nobel Prize Winner. Can you see the differences? I’m sure you cannot. All brains look the same.

“ It’s what you feed it and how you Train it”

King Solomon  :Proverbs 1:2-7  (NRSVCE)

For learning about wisdom and instruction,
for understanding words of insight,
for gaining instruction in wise dealing,
righteousness, justice, and equity;
to teach shrewdness to the simple,
knowledge and prudence to the young—
let the wise also hear and gain in learning,
and the discerning acquire skill,
to understand a proverb and a figure,
the words of the wise and their riddles.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Abiding

Abiding – God invites you to flourish in His Presence.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.  John 15:4-5 NKJV

Bruce Wilkinson, the author writes:

“His purpose is not that you will do more for Him but that you will choose to be more with Him. Only by abiding can you enjoy the most rewarding friendship with God and experience the greatest abundance for His glory. To abide means to remain, to stay closely connected, to settle in for the long term. With this picture Jesus is showing the disciples how an ongoing, vital connection with Him will directly determine the amount of His supernatural power at work in their lives. Within six verses in John 15, Jesus says abide ten times. You can sense the passion and poignancy of His plea. Jesus knows that He is about to leave His friends, yet He is saying “We must be together.” He knows that in the coming years, these downcast, frightened men now standing with Him in the vineyard will be called to produce an unheard-of, miraculous amount of fruit- enough fruit to turn the whole world upside down”.

Here are seven important questions from this week’s study on abiding.

  1. What do I believe about getting close to God?

Think of a time when you felt especially near to God. List three words that describe how you felt.

  1. What does it mean to abide?

Think of fellowship, communion, remain and stay.

We abide in Christ, we abide in His love, and we abide in His word.

  1. Why is abiding important?

Abiding is one of God’s greatest desires. Throughout the Bible beginning in

the Garden of Eden we read of God’s desire to have a relationship with us.

  1. How does abiding lead to much fruit?

When we abide in Christ and His Word, our prayers change. His desires become our desires.

  1. Who else in the Bible chose to abide.

Mary, sister of Lazarus and Martha. Luke 10:38-42

John, the disciple whom Jesus loved.  1 John 2:24-28; 4:7-16

  1. How do I grow in abiding?

Plan a regular time and place. Protect your daily appointment as if you         were meeting with a king (which you are).

Purpose to seek God until you find him.

Practice the Spiritual Disciplines.

  1. What can keep me from abiding?

If communion with God is such a deep desire of the human heart,

Why do so few Christians pursue it successfully? The culprit is often unrecognized attitudes or habits of thinking that cut us off from what we really want.

He choose “You”

He chooses “You”

God dares to call the broken…the unworthy….the empty…but then He mends us…sees our worth…fills us by His grace…His love is so intentional towards us He looks for us every morning…listens to hear our voice…He moves as we seek Him early…mixes His power with our willingness to be used by Him…He loved us so much He gave His only Son…we truly can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!!! You’re the “Apple of His Eye”

You’re the “Apple of His Eye”

I was thinking about what David wrote “When I look at the heavens, the work of Your hand, the moon and stars You set in place, who am l that You are mindful of me”…we seem small in comparison to all He’s created…but yet here we are His favorite creation…we’re always on His mind…we’re the apple of His eye… He sent His only Son…He didn’t have to do it but He did…I’m so glad Jesus left the 99 and looked for the 1 like me… what a loving God and oh what a Savior!!!                By Steve Curry

Pray from your Heart!

Pray from Your Heart

By Bob Gass

“…when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV

God isn’t moved by your eloquence or the multiplicity of your words. He’s moved by a heart that spills the burdens of the day across the altar, exposing every pain to the power of a God who ‘can’. Can what? Can do whatever you have the faith to believe Him for. ‘…Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’ (Mark 11:24 NKJV). Your confidence in prayer is not based on your ability to speak, but on God’s ability to hear and understand. He knows what you are trying to say.

The old hymn goes: ‘In seasons of distress and grief, my soul has often found relief. And oft escaped the tempter’s snare, by thy return, sweet hour of prayer.’
