Faith and Trust

Father God, “…For I trust [completely] in Your word [and its reliability]…” Psalm 42: 42 (AMP)

The strength of our faith is in direct proportion to our level of belief that God will do exactly what He has promised. Faith has nothing to do with feelings, impressions, outward appearances, nor the probability or improbability of an event. If we try to couple these things with faith, we are no longer resting on the “Word of God” alone. When we take Him completely at His “Word” we find peace and assurance. (Streams in the Desert)

Isaiah 55:11 (NRSVCE) “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it”

Psalm 103:2-4 (NRSVCE) ^“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits— who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy…”

Hebrews 6:18-20 (NRSVCE) ^“ so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible that God would prove false, we who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to seize the hope set before us. We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain, where Jesus, a forerunner on our behalf, has entered, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”

Whatever the need is, today it is covered in God’s unchangeable “Word”. Search the Word, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the promise or promises you need. Then Own them in your Heart, mind and spirit, don’t look at the storm, stand unwavering

Meditate: On the promise and it will be “Fulfilled”

Morning Line: Angels

 ^“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it” Hebrews 13:2 (NRSVCE)

God’s angels are operating among us. Don’t let your intellect neutralize your faith. Angels shut the mouths of lions for Daniel. An angel went before Israel’s army guaranteeing their victory. An angel showed up in a storm to let Paul know that he’d survive a shipwreck and opened prison doors for Peter.  Angels protect us in times of danger.

^“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, ” Psalm 91:11-12 9 (NRSVCE)

Have you consider the many ways angels may have protected you?  Angels are there to help us in times of need.

^” But to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? Are not all angels spirits in the divine service, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:13-14 (NRSVCE)

Those whom have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, God hasn’t done away with His secret service they’re still working hard. You may not be able to see them with your natural eyes, but the benefits they bring surround you every day. Start each day thanking God for His hedge of protection and angels that surround you and your loved ones.                                                                                                                            Fewer cares of this world will get to you but the ones that slip through trust God to get you through and conquer them.   You are not alone, enjoy your day.

Morning Line: Accepted as is!

“…Approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him…” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMP)

The world tells us that our value is connected to our ‘doing.’ Growing up, we’re constantly compared or comparing. But no matter how hard we tried, still weren’t satisfied.  Leaving us burned out, confused and turned off.

When all we need is the assurance of God’s unconditional love!  Until you know you’re loved by God apart from what you do, knowing that’s what Jesus Christ made possible through the cross. As long as we stumble along believing that your acceptance with God is performance-based, we fail.

“Our acceptance with God is based on performance, but not yours”

It’s on what Jesus Christ did for us at the cross! Jesus Christ loves you unconditionally and is committed to working with you. And the best part is, He doesn’t condemn you while He’s doing it! He understands your temperament, your struggles, and even the faulty foundation upon which you’ve based your self-worth. He cares. As you grow in a personal relationship with Him, He relieves pain, reveals true value, and releases your gifts in you.

Remember, ^“ For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world (or you), but that the world (you) through Him might be saved.” John 3:17 (NKJV

Know you are positioned securely ‘in Jesus Christ.’ Therefore you’re always acceptable to Him. Your Father God and creator sees you as special as you trust Him wholly an over-comer, a WINNER!

Morning Line: Good and Bad Days

 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)

God loves and accepts you as much on your bad days as He does on your good ones. In a performance-based society, that’s easy to forget.

But you must not forget it!

God’s acceptance is based on your standing in Jesus Christ, not the state of your life at a given time. Think of the cross as a trading post. There God took on All the sin you’ve committed or will commit past, present and future laying it upon Christ Jesus. The moment you place your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior asking Him into your heart and being, God took all of Jesus Christ’s righteousness and wraps you up in it. From that point on, He sees you only one way, In Jesus Christ.

Making the “Ultimate Trade” your redemption from eternity in Hell for eternity in Heaven! As you Realize that your worth isn’t based on what you do but on who you are in relationship to Jesus Christ.

God actually assigned value to you by allowing Jesus Christ His only Son to die for you.  As your relationship grows with Him you will find your Good days farther apart from your Bad days.

 “Come now, let us argue it out,
says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow;
though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; Isaiah 1:18-19 (NRSVCE)

Good and bad days come and go, be at peace the Father, Son, and Spirit are always with you. As you cast your care to them they have a great plan and path for you.

Morning Line: Faith in – Worry Not!

Worry doesn’t work. It’s like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere!

“Give all your worries…to God, for he cares about you.” 1Peter 5:7 (NLT)

The things you worried about last year, or even last week; how many came to pass?  None of your worrying made them better or worse? Only taking a physical and emotional toll on you? Worry affects the circulation, the heart, the glands, and the whole nervous system profoundly affecting your health.

Your Father God says in his “Word”, ‘Give all your worries and cares to (me) God, for He cares about you.’ By committing each day to the Lord, you are trusting Him to go before you and work things out for the best. It’s the only way to live free!

Life is too big for any of us to handle alone, attack it with the promises of God.  Bring your fears to God and watch them shrivel.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind…”

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)                    

 “ Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:3-7 (NRSVCE)

 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.

Morning Line:  Before and After

“You will eat and be satisfied and bless Hashem your God for the good land that He gave you.”—Deuteronomy 8:10

Every religion has a blessing or grace before eating. Before we eat, we thank and acknowledge God for the food of which we are about to partake.

Yet, Judaism is possibly the only religion in the world that also has a blessing or grace after the meal.

Before you eat, when you are hungry, rather than just shoving the food in your mouth and satisfying your hunger, you take pause and thank God for the food. This differentiates us from an animal who eats without any thought of the source of the food. This makes a lot of sense.

Why though have a blessing after the meal?

Truth be told, it is not about the food at all. It is about the concept of being satisfied and having all that you need.

When you feel that nothing is missing, it is easy to forget about God. When you are lacking you turn to God and ask for help but when you have everything you are less likely to turn to God.

The blessing after the meal teaches us how to behave when we are satisfied, when everything in our life is humming along and running smoothly.

Just as we bless God when we are full from a good meal, we have to thank God when we are full of wonderful things in our lives.

It is less than an ideal relationship when our children come to us only when they need something.

Similarly, our relationship with God should not be that we turn to him only with our difficulties and challenges. We need to thank and praise God when all is good and we are satisfied! RABBI MOSHE ROTHCHILD

Morning Line: Herd Selection!

Be selective of the company you keep not everyone has your best at heart.

MORNING LINE: Copy Him!

” Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do….”  John 14:12

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior this promise is for you. You have in you the same faith and Holy Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the grave that flowed through Him to accomplish miracles. It’s His Love, power, grace, and mercy are now attached to our human faith, we’re capable of doing what He did!

As a Christ Jesus follower you have wall-to-wall Holy Spirit available to you. By renewing your mind daily in God’s “Word” letting the Holy Spirit produce its power in you. As you submit to the moving of the Holy Spirit you have the supernatural power of God Himself and the promises of His Word working in you giving you the confidence to walk in Christ Jesus footsteps.

That’s why Jesus said, “You don’t need more faith.  You just need to learn how to put what you’ve already got to work.  The faith you have is enough to make a difference, use what you’ve been given.

“And the Lord said, “If you have [confident, abiding] faith in God [even as small] as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree [which has very strong roots], ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’; and [if the request was in agreement with the will of God] it would have obeyed you. Luke 17:6 (AMP)

You are special in God’s eyes and heart, let His Spirit loose in you and it will guide you to the place He has for you and you will be part of more than you could have ever imagined.

Go be a Copy Cat of Jesus Christ touching the lives in the world around you.

MORNING LINE: Heart Confession

“The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. “Romans 10:8-10 (NRSVCE)

It’s only when the heart and mouth work together in faith that your confession is brought to pass.  Many of us are missing out on what God has provided in the spirit( by design and assignment) because we aren’t using our words properly.  Learn to speak life instead of death! Soak your mind in the written Word of God’s promises it’s His covenant with you seating them in the soil of your heart and it will produce the fruit of it guiding you in your spirit down the right path.

 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:1-3

Stand fast without wavering on the promises of God, knowing His thoughts and ways are higher than your ways and can make a way where there seems to be no way. God believes in you believe in Him.

Conquer unbelief and you will become more than a conquer. Let your Faith Soar!
