Morning Line: Blessed

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man/ women Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.’

This is a scriptural key to being blessed. A ‘blessed’ man or woman tends to stand out because their character is deeper, their ideas fresher, their spirit softer, their courage greater, their leadership better, their concerns wider, their compassion more genuine, and their convictions more concrete.

They’re joyful in spite of difficult circumstances, and show wisdom far beyond their years, full of surprises;  over time you realize that their ideas and actions can be trusted. Why? Because they have a spiritual root system that goes down to streams of living water. Consequently, what they put their hand to ‘prosper.’ And you can live this way, by setting your spiritual priorities in concrete. The arch enemy of spiritual growth is busyness, closely tied to something the Bible calls ‘worldliness’ caught up with society’s agenda to the neglect of walking with God. Whichever way you look at it, a key ingredient to prospering is time. Not leftover time, but quality time, time for meditation; time for communication, Unhurried, time with God to light your course.

Romans 8:24-30  (NRSVCE)

24 For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. 27 And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.30 And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.

The key is those who  “Love “ proofs in the pudding. Are you all mouth or all walk?

Morning Line: Clean Heart and Hands!

James 4:7-9  (NKJV) “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts….” Don’t be double-minded.”

The moment you ‘come near to God,’ you become aware of your condition.  God doesn’t demand you clean up before He will respond to you! All your attempts at self-improvement won’t work. Because His grace is the only basis on which He can relate to you.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. “

God points to our week areas not to condemn us, but to cleanse us. He knows that dirty hands enable satan to accuse us before Him so He tells you to wash our hands, ‘and do not give the devil a foothold’

(Ephesians 4:27 NIV). Once you’ve confessed your sins and been cleansed, you can look satan in the eye and say, ‘Hit the road. James continues, ‘…Purify your hearts, don’t be double-minded’ (James 4:8 NIV).

Your heart is where you store things. ‘It is with your heart that you believe…’ Romans 10:10.

Your heart generates and stores your beliefs, constructive and destructive. Once you form a belief you begin to live it out.

Be like King David and pray ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit within me’ Psalms 51:10

When you pray that way, God will cleanse you, clothe you with power, and cause you to walk in victory. Remember Jesus Christ is committed to your best, trust Him and you will find it.

You’re Called

You’re Called                                                                                                                                                                                               2 Peter 1:1-14 (NRSVCE)

“To those who have received a faith as precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature. 5 For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. 8 For if these things are yours and are increasing among you, they keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For anyone who lacks these things is short-sighted and blind, and is forgetful of the cleansing of past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble. 11 For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.                                                                                                      12 Therefore I intend to keep on reminding you of these things, though you know them already and are established in the truth that has come to you. 13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to refresh your memory, 14 since I know that my death will come soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

Morning Line: All Heart!

1 Samuel 16:7” Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature… see not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

God makes stars out of the unlikely. Seabiscuit was smaller then most but his heart took him to the winner’s circle against the odds. God can do it for you, throw him 100% of your heart and see what happens. He will put you on the right lead and route to your winners circle and His.

Morning Line: Enlargement!!!

MORNING LINE: Enlargement!

Holy Spirit, power in a man is meant to be an increasing force, an enlargement. God has never created anything of a diminishing type. Keep going, don’t stop in the plains, greater things are for you on the hilltops.

Psalm 18:36” You (God) enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.”

Psalm 119:32 I will run the way of your commandments, as you have enlarged my heart.”

Jesus Christ has a great plan for you. Press into relationship with Him in God’s word by his Spirit Each step up increases your view and the great race ahead of you, get ready!!!

Can You Defend?

1 Peter 3:13-18  (NRSVCE)

13 Now who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? 14 But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated, 15 but in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you; 16 yet do it with gentleness and reverence. Keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if suffering should be God’s will, than to suffer for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, in order to bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit,

Know who you are and what you have in Christ Jesus, bold but meekly stand steadfast in it asking the Holy Spirit to arise in you. Knowing no matter what God has you back.

Romans 12:2 “ be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

What a great place to be tempered not tempted guided by God’s word for your best.

Stand Firm!

Stand Firm                                                       

  2 Timothy 1:8-14 (NRSVCE)

8 Do not be ashamed, then, of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11 For this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher, 12 and for this reason I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that day what I have entrusted to him.13 Hold to the standard of sound teaching that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 14 Guard the good treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit living in us.

We have a place in the Holy Spirit so beautifully harmonized nothing will be out of order. God has a place for you to occupy, trusting and living in the Spirit for God’s glory and your fulfillment.

Matthew 6:25-26  (NRSVCE) “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Enjoy God’s place for you walking in his grace and peace.
