Morning Line: Waiting with Patients

“How long, O Lord, must I call for help?”    Habakkuk 1:2 (NIV)

Waiting for your vision to start, or for signs that a promise is being fulfilled? You’re not the first to struggle with waiting, and when you get what you’re waiting for, you’ll begin waiting for something else. If there’s one word that defines life and Christian living, it’s waiting and beginning.

God said to Habakkuk, “…revelation awaits an appointed time…“Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 NIV)

Why did God say that? He was answering the prophet’s question, “How long, O Lord, must I call for help…?” Waiting for things to change isn’t easy. So while you’re waiting? Pour yourself into the job at hand; otherwise you’ll shortchange your own future.

“Be patient…See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains….being patient and standing firm” (James 5:7-8 NIV).

What God has in store for you is worth all seasons of waiting.

We have this promise: He who has begun a good work in you will complete it; relax, let go, and let His perfect timing unfold it. Don’t fret over tomorrow; mount up, run, and win today’s race.

 The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places,
and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden,
like a spring of water, whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11(NRSVCE)

Daily pour God’s Word into your heart to overflowing; when you need its power, it will pour back out of you in power and might to take care of the day before you.

Trust God, Trust His Love, Trust His “Word”, Trust the Process!

You are chosen for this space and time in God’s timeline to make a difference; prepare your heart, mind, and spirit.

Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are your sure, unshakable foundation.
