When you stumble in life’s races, He forgives you and gives you a leg back up. The Holy Spirit is your #1 FAN- comforter, helper, and advocate. What more do you need? Dress up daily in the Word of God, renewing your mind and spirit; you are more than a conqueror.

Be bold, be strong; the Lord thy God is with you. You are Precious!

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE WITHERED HAND

I was reading Mark 3:1-6 where the liberal Herodians and the conservative religious “God Squad” devise a plot to trap Jesus with ultimate hopes to kill him. This alliance was like putting Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie together or Ulysses Grant and Robert E. Lee together. The only thing that could bring the religious leaders and the Herodians together was a ferocious hatred of Jesus.

The setting is the synagogue on a Sabbath. Rabbi Jesus is teaching, and the diabolical leaders are salivating because they have planted a guy with a withered hand in the front row. When Jesus heals him, the packed house will yell, “Gotcha!” The whole ordeal angers and deeply distresses Jesus. It’s hard for Jesus to stomach so-called men of God who don’t give a rip about hurting people. Jesus does not let these shenanigans keep him from one huge grace-giving act.

Incredibly, Jesus asks the man with the withered hand to stand up in front of everyone and stretch out his hand. Huh? The guy was probably super self-conscious and was living with shame. Why make the man’s weakness so public? This was the worst day of the man’s life until it wasn’t. The hinge of the story is the man’s exposed weakness, which, when healed, becomes the epic account we are still talking about.

Can you see yourself in the story? Don’t think of yourself as Jesus. You and I are the guy with the withered hand! We have weaknesses, brokenness, junk, secrets, shame, and vulnerabilities. The choice is to keep things HIDDEN or bring them to Jesus to be HEALED. We must say, “I Can’t. He Can. I Surrender.”

We are not meant to live in our own power. In fact, God has rigged the universe. It only runs on Him. If we keep all our shame, failure, and weakness to ourselves, we cannot be healed. Stretch out your hand. You were made to be known, to be loved, and to be touched by Jesus. He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Cor. 12:9-10)

Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.

My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;
They are more than the hairs of my head;
Therefore my heart fails me.

 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me!
Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion
Who seek to destroy my ^[a]life;
Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor
Who wish me evil.
 Let them be confounded because of their shame,
Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”
 But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me.

Morning Line: Love Holds the Key!

1 Corinthians 13:2” If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing mysteries and making all plain as day, and if I have faith that moves mountains, but I don’t love, I’m nothing”

Faith is a powerful force. God’s Faith is tempered in Agape Love. Not used to control or beat someone up.

God’s love is for experiencing and sharing. As you have God’s love. You increase in mountain-moving faith.

 Colossians 3:14  “above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness…”

Love is the mortar holding the key to true life, mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, forbearance, forgiveness, faith, and hope. Jesus is the key unlocking all God’s love in your life. Don’t worry about what you don’t have; let God show you what you do have, continuing to trust Him and grow in love. God at work in you is more than you could ever imagine. Let Go Let God, and Shine!

Trust in the Lord

MORNING LINE: In Step Wins

 We battle stress daily, but God is faithful. We can count on Him to be with us every step of the way. Let go of worry. Worry is a trust issue stemming from our desire to be in control. We keep trying to fix tomorrow’s problems with today’s resources.

God has said:  “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you…you will not drown…you will not be burned up…” Isaiah 43:2

Pray this: Father God, help me be in step, in rhythm and flow with you, led by your Holy Spirit.

Getting in step with the Holy Spirit, letting Him set your pace, letting Him have the reins, staying teachable, renewing your mind to God’s way is peaceful, and will guide gate to wire.

By standing in faith, responding with confidence that God is working on our behalf for our best, we find peace and direction.

“Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge…” Proverbs 12:1(NKJV)

Get Up, Get Going, Live Life in step with God as He sets the pace for the race, leading you to many victories.
